Ingredients and supplies
4 floury potatoes
4 carrots
200 g grated Gouda cheese
25 g butter
50 ml warm milk
Prep-work
Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces.
Peel the carrots and cut them into small pieces.
Preparation
Place the potatoes and carrots in a saucepan with some salt.
Boil them until done, prick the potatoes with a fork, as soon as they fall off the fork they are done (around 18 minutes).
Mash the potatoes and carrots with the warm milk.
Once the mash has reached the right consistency, stir in the butter and cheese with a wooden spoon.
Delicious with oxtail stew and beef bourguignon.
