Ingredients and supplies
- 5 slices of frozen puff pastry (square slices or oblong slices from Turkish shop)
- 150 dl spiced tomato sauce
- 13 small slices of salami or chorizo
- 200 g grated young matured cheese

Preparation
Let the puff pastry thaw for 10 minutes. I remove the plastic foil immediately.
This is easier with frozen puff pastry than with thawed puff pastry.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Prick holes in the puff pastry with a fork.
Spread each slice of puff pastry with tomato sauce, put about 2 tablespoons on top and use the rounded side of the spoon to distribute the sauce over the slice in a rotating motion.
Cut each piece of dough into quarters or five if you are using the puff pastry from the Turkish shop and place half a slice of salami/chorizo on each piece or 5 halves on the other puff pastry (see photos).
Now place the pizza bites on the baking tray lined with baking paper and sprinkle them generously with the grated cheese.
Sprinkle with some dried oregano/basil or pul biber if desired.
Bake the pizza bites in the middle of the oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
