Ingredients and supplies
The hamburger
- 1 kg minced meat
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4 tsp sambal oelek
- 1 small onion
- 1 tbsp paprika powder
- 4 tsp oregano (dried)
- salt/pepper to taste
Optional: slices of cheese
Garnish
- 8 white balls
- 100 g finely chopped iceberg lettuce
- 4 thinly sliced tomatoes
- 1 thinly sliced onion
Optional: mayonnaise or ketchup
Prep-work
Prepare the bun and garnish:
- Cut open the rolls and grill them on the cut sides until crispy (or in a frying pan).
- Cut the iceberg lettuce into strips (so that it can be easily topped)
- Slice the tomato thinly
- Cut the onions into thin rings
Preparation
For the hamburger:
- Place the ground meat in a large mixing bowl.
- Chop the onion and throw it in.
- Crush the garlic and throw it in.
- Add the sambal, paprika powder, oregano, pepper and 2 teaspoons of salt.
- Mix and knead everything well by hand so that everything is evenly distributed.
- Divide the mixture into 8 portions and use the hamburger cutter to form 8 hamburgers.
- Cook the burgers over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side.
(Optional: after the first side, turn it over for 2.5 minutes and then place a slice of cheese on the burger. It will melt nicely)
Place the iceberg lettuce on the bun, then the hamburger and top with tomato and onion.
If you like, you can add mayonnaise or ketchup.
