Ingredients and supplies

  • 8 large onions
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Plenty of nutmeg
  • 75 g old cheese (grated)

Prep-work

Peel the onions and cook them for 25 minutes in plenty of salted water.

Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and let drain briefly.

Preparation

Cut them in half and carefully place them cut side down in an oven dish.

Mix the sour cream with the whipped cream, salt and nutmeg and pour over the onions.

Place in an oven at 200 degrees for another 30 minutes until the onions are soft, creamy and sweet.

Sprinkle the cheese over it and let it melt (still in the oven for a while).
