Ingredients and supplies

Cake:

  • 200 gr flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • Lemon zest or lemon essence
  • salt to taste

Glaze:

  • 250 g icing sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • Lemon zest or lemon essence

Prep-work

Find a cake or bundt pan

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Grease the cake tin with butter.
  • Mix sugar and butter in a bowl until smooth, add eggs one by one and lemon zest or lemon essence.
  • Then add the flour, baking powder and salt.

  • Pour this mixture into the cake tin and bake for 60 minutes.
  • Remove the cake from the baking tin and let it cool.

  • Mix the powdered sugar with the lemon zest and lemon juice.
  • Add the liquid a little at a time (the icing should remain a little tough, otherwise it will run off your cake).
  • Pour the icing over the cake.
