Ingredients and supplies
Cake:
- 200 gr flour
- 200 g sugar
- 200 g butter
- 4 eggs
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- Lemon zest or lemon essence
- salt to taste
Glaze:
- 250 g icing sugar
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- Lemon zest or lemon essence
Prep-work
Find a cake or bundt pan
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Grease the cake tin with butter.
- Mix sugar and butter in a bowl until smooth, add eggs one by one and lemon zest or lemon essence.
- Then add the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Pour this mixture into the cake tin and bake for 60 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the baking tin and let it cool.
- Mix the powdered sugar with the lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Add the liquid a little at a time (the icing should remain a little tough, otherwise it will run off your cake).
- Pour the icing over the cake.
