Ingredients and supplies

  • 1 apple (preferably fresh and sour; Elstar)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • some lemon/lime juice (or from a bottle)

This recipe is for 2 flaps (and that's quite a few) but easy to expand! Just multiply everything by multiples.

Prep-work

Peel the apple and cut it into cubes the size of dice.

Preparation

Monkey dice in a bowl.

Add the cinnamon and sugar and stir briefly

Sprinkle with the lemon juice and stir again.

The hardest part is now over.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.

Place the puff pastry sheets (sticky side up) on baking paper.

You will be folding the sheet diagonally later, so place the apple cubes on one half of the diagonal line of the puff pastry sheet.

Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the apple pieces and sprinkle the flaps with some sugar.

Place in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
