Ingredients and supplies

  • 200 gr cottage cheese
  • 4 tbsp Turkish yogurt
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 5 elephant cloves or 15 cloves of regular garlic
  • 2 onions (half rings)
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds / djinten
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder (ketoembbar)
  • 1 tsp turmaric/yellow carrot/turmeric
  • 2 green peppers
  • 750 g fresh chopped spinach

Optioneel 2 takjes verse koriander

Prep-work

Chop the garlic (do not press!).

Cut the onions into half rings.

Preparation

Place pan on high heat with the oil.

Fry the garlic and when it is nicely brown

Then add the cumin seeds/jinten and stir briefly.

Add green peppers and onion rings and fry briefly.

Add Turkish yoghurt and stir until a smooth mass is formed.

Add coriander powder and turmeric (yellow carrot) and stir well, also over the bottom to prevent sticking.

Add cottage cheese together with the spinach, stir and let it cook briefly.

Serve in a bowl and spoon a tablespoon of Turkish yoghurt in the middle.

If desired, sprinkle finely chopped fresh coriander leaves over the top.
