About the recipe
I love chicory, especially with ham and cheese, but even more with ham, cheese and a creamy béchamel sauce! It may be high in calories, but we enjoy it without feeling guilty, with lots of chicory in the meal!

Ingredients and supplies
- 500 gr potatoes
- 200 gr ham
- 200 gr old grated cheese
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- Bechamel sauce (see separate recipe)
Prep-work
Cut the chicory into small pieces and peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes/pieces.
Preparation
Cook the chicory for 15 minutes and the potatoes for 17 minutes. Boil the potatoes in a large pan!
While the potatoes and chicory are cooking, you can make the béchamel sauce ; follow recipe after recipe.
Mash the potatoes and then add the chicory, ham, 150 g cheese and béchamel sauce .
Stir well until it has become an even mass.
Place the mixture in an oven dish and sprinkle some cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
Bake for another 10 minutes in an oven at 180 degrees for a crispy crust.
