Ingredients and supplies
- 1.5 to 2 kg lamb shoulder (1 piece)
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp dried rosemary
- 1 tbsp dried thyme
- some salt and pepper
- some olive oil
- 3 large onions
- 50 ml water
Other requirements: roasting pan, oven dish large enough to hold the lamb shoulder, aluminum foil.
Prep-work
Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into quarters.
Mix rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
Clean the onions and cut them into large pieces.
Preparation
Stick a piece of garlic into each hole.
Rub the lamb shoulder with olive oil.
Massage the herbs lovingly over the entire lamb shoulder.
Also push some herbs into the holes and cracks with your finger.
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.
Place them on the bottom of the baking dish.
Add the 50 ml of water and place the lamb shoulder on top.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Place in the oven for about 3 hours. Then remove the foil and let it brown nicely in the oven for another hour.
The delicious tender lamb shoulder is ready.
