Croutons
About the recipe
This is a typical "off the cuff" recipe and depends a lot on how many croutons you need. Better to make a little more than not enough, because they store well in a plastic bag for reuse later in the week.

Ingredients and supplies
- stale bread as much as needed (this preparation makes about 8 slices of bread)
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 2 elephant cloves of garlic or 10 cloves of garlic
- bouillon powder (or salt)

Preparation
Preheat your oven (top heat) to 200 degrees.
Cut the bread into cubes.
Pour a generous dash (5 tbsp) of olive oil into a large bowl (big enough to hold all the bread) and squeeze the garlic into it (and throw the leftovers in the garlic press into the oil as well).
Add a little stock powder (2 tsp).
Quickly toss the pieces of bread in the garlic oil with your hands so that all the pieces are coated with a little oil.
Place the bread on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes (depending on your oven) and turn the pieces as soon as they are nicely browned. Keep a close eye on them and stay with them, because sometimes it goes suddenly fast and then they are burnt! In that case, throw away and start again at the top.
Delicious on a salad, in soup or just to eat.
