Tia Maria

Quantity: more than a liter

Total preparation: 6 weeks and 20 minutes


    • 1 liter of young gin (may be the cheapest)

    • 1 pound brown caster sugar

    • 2 bags of vanilla sugar

    • 200 coffee beans

    1.5 liter preserving jar

    2 clean empty bottles

      Not necessary.


      Place the caster sugar, coffee beans and vanilla sugar in the preserving jar.

      Pour the young gin over it, close and set aside in a dark place.

      Shake it vigorously every day.

      After 6 weeks, strain the mixture through a sieve and place it in a clean, empty bottle(s).

      You now have a delicious Tia Maria.

      Delicious as Tia Maria coffee with a dollop of whipped cream!
