Pizza snacks

    • 5 slices of frozen puff pastry

    • Turkish shop)

    • 150 dl spiced tomato sauce

    • 13 small slices of salami or chorizo

    • 200 g grated young mature cheese

      Let the puff pastry thaw for 10 minutes. I immediately remove the plastic foil.

      This is easier with frozen puff pastry than with thawed puff pastry.

      Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

      Poke holes in the puff pastry with a fork.

      Brush each slice of puff pastry with tomato sauce, put about 2 tablespoons on it and use the rounded side of the spoon to spread the sauce over the slice, rotating it.

      Cut each piece of dough into quarters or fives if you are using the puff pastry from the Turkish store and place half a slice of salami/chorizo on each piece or 5 halves on the other puff pastry (see photos).

      Now place the pizza bites on the baking tray lined with baking paper and sprinkle them thickly with the grated cheese.
      If desired, sprinkle some dried oregano/basil or pul biber on top.
      Bake the pizza snacks in the middle of the oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and done.
