Number: 4 persons

Complexity: easy

Working time: 40 min

Total preparation: 80 min

Ingredients

  • 500 g cod (or another white fish)

  • 200 grams smoked salmon

  • 200 g peeled shrimp

  • 600 ml milk

  • 300 ml whipped cream

  • 100 grams of butter

  • 45 grams of flour

  • salt/pepper to taste

  • 3 tbsp parsley

  • 1.5 kg floury potatoes

  • 600 g carrots (optional)

  • 50 gr Gouda cheese

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Bring 450 ml milk and whipped cream with the cod to the boil in a large pan.

Cook the fish over low heat for 5 minutes.

Divide fish into pieces on the bottom of an oven dish.

Also do this with pieces of smoked salmon and shrimp.

Melt half the butter in a pan and stir in the flour (1 minute). Add the milk/cream mixture while stirring.

Let this boil for 5 minutes.

Add salt, pepper and parsley to taste.

Pour the sauce over the fish.

Boil the potatoes until done and mash them with the remaining butter and remaining warm milk into a puree (optional: add boiled carrots).

Divide the puree over the fish and sprinkle with the grated cheese.

Place the dish in the oven for about 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce starts to bubble.
