Turban shape
When one of our sons asked for the recipes for Grandma's Christmas Turban, Grandma wrote down the recipe in 2018. Here you will find the literal recipe, not yet made by us.
Please note that Grandma makes the turban with an old gas oven (ETNA)! So let's experiment with the gas setting / temperatures!
Preparation
Mix the self-raising flour, salt, butter, milk and eggs well
If the batter is too dry, add some more milk if necessary.
Add currants, raisins, orange zest and (optional) candied peel.

Grease the bundt pan with butter and dust with some rusk or breadcrumbs.
Place the mold in the center of a cold oven and let it cook for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Gas setting at approximately 150 to 160 degrees
