Lamb shoulder from the oven

    Ingredients

    • 1.5 to 2 kg lamb shoulder (1 piece)

    • 4 cloves of garlic

    • 1 tbsp dried rosemary

    • 1 tbsp dried thyme

    • some salt and pepper

    • some olive oil

    • 3 large onions

    • 50 ml of water

    ​

    Other supplies

    roasting pan, oven dish that fits lamb shoulder
    aluminium foil

      Mis en place

      Clean the garlic and cut the cloves into quarters.

      Mix rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper together in a bowl.

      Clean the onions and cut them into large pieces.

      Preparation


      Poke 16 holes here and there in the meat with a sharp knife.
      Insert a piece of garlic into each hole.

      Brush the lamb shoulder with olive oil.

      Massage the herbs lovingly over the entire lamb shoulder.

      Also push some herbs into the holes and cracks with your finger.
      Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.

      ​

      Place them on the bottom of the baking dish.
      Pour in the 50 ml of water and place the lamb shoulder on top.
      Cover the bowl tightly with aluminum foil.

      Place in the oven for about 3 hours. Then remove the foil and let it brown in the oven for another 1 hour.

      The delicious, tender lamb shoulder is ready.
