Lemon cake with icing

    • 200 grams of flour

    • 200 grams of sugar

    • 200 grams of butter

    • 4 eggs

    • 1.5 tsp baking powder

    • salt to taste

    • Lemon peel zest or lemon essence


    • 250 g icing sugar

    • 3 tbsp lemon juice

    • Lemon peel zest or lemon essence

    Cake or turban shape


      Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

      Grease the cake tin with butter.

      Mix sugar and butter in a bowl until smooth, add the eggs and lemon zest or lemon essence one by one.

      Then add the flour, baking powder and salt.

      Pour this mixture into the cake tin and bake for 60 minutes.

      Remove the cake from the baking tin and let it cool.

      Stir together icing sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice.

      Add the liquid little by little.

      The icing may remain a bit tough, otherwise it will run off your cake.

      Pour the glaze over the cake.
